Double Exposure

Home

This body of work is a self-indulgent look back at myself at the age of seventeen,
when I started photography.
I had a very cheap camera, and the Kodak book of how to take photographs.

The work centres around the first few 35 mm 36 exposure negatives.
On some of the exposures the wind on hadn't fully worked, resulting in a double xposure.

Some weeks ago, I came across theses negatives many of which had never been printed.

Having scanned all the photographs I was immediately taken back to those days.

It was so vivid that I could almost smell that Kodak book rememering as I went through each page.
I did the landscape, portrait, close-up, tabletop and the seascape.

Then I handed the camera to my niece Jane she took this photograph of me and it was projected onto a screen and onto my back resulting in a double exposure.
